How will your business respond to the challenges it is facing?

What got you here, won’t get you there; trite and true.  Business leadership by “business as usual” has not been delivering reliable results for some time now, and the times are calling forth something different.

Today’s business challenges include productively doing more with less, satisfying increasing stakeholder expectations, shifting nimbly in the face of change, and wading in the waters of the unknown with confidence and competence, just to name a few.

Who is best to lead a robust and powerful response in the current environment?

Perhaps leadership in business, and elsewhere, is the natural expression of a fully integrated human being, and can thus be seen only through the wide-angle lens of the leader’s total growth and development. And part of what that human being must integrate is the animating and creative spirit within that is intimately connected to a larger source of meaning beyond.

What will be your strategy for masterful leadership for the 21st century and beyond?

Now, more than ever, masterful leadership is critical for getting what you want for your business and all of its stakeholders.  Having mindful, grounded and integrated leaders is an essential foundation for any business, for-profit and not-for-profit, in this century, not only to survive, but to thrive.  Engaging all human resources, inviting them to bring the whole of their intelligence into their work makes room for organic creativity, passion and innovative performance.  Everyone is called to be a leader, regardless of position.

The question really is, “What would working toward developing integrated leadership throughout your business be like?”

Or,  “What is it, and how do you get it?”  You don’t.  It cannot be boiled down to a list of principles or pat formula.  It cannot be a passing fancy or management fad.  It cannot be bought at any price.  It can only be invited into, nourished and supported.  Only a felt-sense of a genuine, trusting environment will sustain its health and well-being.

The emerging workforce values leaders it can respect and learn from in a self-directed environment, who provide the resources needed for people to grow to the full measure of their abilities, and who can provide at least the space for that very personal search for the sense of meaning and coherence.
